Infinity Ward takes the Call of Duty to the Middle East of the modern age, with an engaging multiplayer mode as part of the package

Motorstorm
Evolution Studios’ muddy, fast-paced dirt racer with exciting multiplayer and sharp, detailed graphics

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Insomniac’s funny action series finally lands on the PlayStation 3, with Pixar-level graphics and bouncy gameplay

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
Naughty Dog’s adventurous third person shooter with lush graphics, strong music score, and fists-and-guns combat system

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was a latecomer to the PlayStation 3 this year, and offered refreshing action, wit and style in this Indiana Jones-styled adventure in the jungle.
Runner Up: Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Yes, the PlayStation 3 version was no different than the PC and Xbox 360 versions - it was a hot shooter with cinematic excitement and great multiplayer.

You do realize that the PS3 version of AC was horrendously crippled, right? How did a broken game beat out the visual-revolution of Drake’s Fortune?

Jonah, really though, how can you have a PS3 game of the year when you want less than nothing to do with the system? You’ve not PLAYED it.
