Xbox
The Xbox debuted in November, 2001, and at the time, it might as well have been called “the Halo Box”, a game that carried the system for its initial months before it began to find its way. By the time the Xbox 360 had been released, the Xbox had established itself as a premiere console, with AAA titles and a devoted fanbase - a large part of this success was Xbox Live.

NCAA Football 08
The Xbox version continued to be the most fully-featured of any of the NCAA Football platforms

GameCube
The GameCube started strongly, as the Nintendo 64 had, but faded quickly, as Nintendo insisted on a proprietary disc storage, a stranglehold on game licensing, and few modern features. The system had few major sellers, and it would another 5 years til the Wii debuted that Nintendo found the sort of success seen by the NES and SNES.

Madden NFL 08
GameCube holdouts got to play the latest edition of Madden on their system

GameBoy Advance
Unlike the Xbox and GameCube, the GameBoy Advance was an immediate hit. Enhanced graphics and processing power, 100% backwards compatibility with previous GameBoy and GameBoy Color systems, and many colors to choose from, the handheld sold tons, and its later SKU, the GameBoy SP, was a big hit as well. It would have strong sales even a year after its successor, the DS, debuted.

Final Fantasy VI Advance
The GBA remake of Final Fantasy VI was not only a love letter to the series, but one of the best RPGs of the year
