MLB 2K7 to Hit Stores Early

Sports Gamer has announced that Major League Baseball 2K7 (AKA MLB 2K7) by 2K Sports will be shipping on February 26th, rather than March 4th, and will be in stores on February 27th. Considering that MLB 07: The Show is being released for the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable on that date, it seems 2K Sports doesn’t want early adoption of Sony’s first-party title. Even more so, it’s an entire month’s lead time over the PlayStation 3 release of Sony’s baseball game.
Of course, if you own an Xbox 360, Xbox, Nintendo DS or Nintendo GBA, you’ll be ecstatic to get it a week early since its the only baseball game available for those systems.
UPDATE: Incidentally, the Achievements for the Xbox 360 version have been announced, and looking at the non-secret ones, they’re pretty sweet.
