Smart Money Piles on PS3

As if the PlayStation 3 and Sony didn’t have enough problems, now Smart Money magazine is telling folks to avoid the PS3 like a leper, as the #2 of Top 5 Gadgets You Shouldn’t Buy? The usual complaints – number one, not enough games (”Currently, there are only 32 new PS3 games for sale at Sonystyle.com: Six of them are ready for delivery, 13 are on backorder, and 13 can be pre-ordered for when they are finally released.”), and number two, too expensive (”If you’re simply looking for a fun game system, you can find a Nintendo Wii (try eBay) or Xbox for around $400.”)
When will Sony realize the error of its ways and dump that white elephant in the system, the Blu-Ray drive, so it can release a $400 machine for people who don’t give a rat’s patoot about HD movie watching? You know what the #1 gadget to avoid was? High definition movie players. D’oh!
UPDATE: Doesn’t help Sony edged out Comcast in its bracket in Consumerist’s fun little Worst Company in America playoffs by a narrow margin of 52.1% to 47.9%.
