You Receive Any Stolen Goods Lately? African Scammer?

damn thievesThis message goes out to all readers - if you’ve received any random packages in the mail, such as an Xbox 360 or other products, and you didn’t pay for them, perhaps you should return them to the sender.

A lady in the Midwest receives an Xbox 360 that she didn’t pay for with a note that reads “Please ship to Africa” supplied with a a pile of stamps. The lady thought this odd - why would she receive a random expensive item with a message to ship to Africa?

She called the FBI, they told her just to keep the stuff. Huh? Yeah, the FBI apparently didn’t care to look into this suspicious case (must have …better stuff to do?) So the women was nice and called the company to explain the situation.

In the end, she was able to ship back the products to the retailer “free of charge” utilizing all the stamps meant for the African delivery.

Lesson here: Don’t be that person to receive stolen goods and keep them, no matter what the FBI tells you to do. Return them to those retailers because some of them, as in this case, are small and live and die by each transaction.
