In quite a short time, Tetsuya Mizuguchi has made quite a name for himself in the game industry. His instant puzzle rhythm based classics have become a smash hit on the Playstation Portable, Xbox 360, and Playstation 2.
A few months ago, Mizuguchi’s block rotating masterpiece Lumines Live made an appearance on the Xbox Live Marketplace, but to a somewhat lukewarm reception. Many gamers felt the game was overpriced, and it shipped without a complete set of features.
Today, Tetsuya Mizuguchi announced his plans to bring his other PSP game, Every Extend Extra to Xbox Live Arcade. The game, while initially confusing turned out to be a pretty big hit for the gamers that understood the gameplay. He announced that gamers will be able to “wiz ur muzik,” (yes, those were the exact words in the press release) or in simpler terms: use custom soundtracks.
Now hopefully the game won’t be developed with thoughts of nickle and diming the consumer this time around when the game is released sometime later this year.
