Fans of the instant Xbox Live Arcade Classic, or those with a grudge against their 9th grade math teacher will be happy to know that Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved is now available for PC.
The game claims to be a “pixel-perfect” port of the 360 version, and has the same basic features and weapons. The only real difference seems to be the control options available. You can use just a keyboard, keyboard and mouse combo, or an Xbox 360 controller (best option)to play the game.
For those not familiar with Geometry Wars, it is basically your standard Robotron 2084 control setup, only much more intense. The game starts off pretty easily, but within a matter of seconds your screen will be littered with literally thousands of enemies all out to get you. Add to that the incredibly beautiful visuals with eye poppingly gorgeous neon colors.
You can download it here for about $8, where you can also check out the free demo. But remember, this version is only compatible with Windows Vista.
