GDC 07: LocoRoco Sequel for PS3?

One of the many things you may have noticed in the previously posted video on Playstation Home was the trophy room, full of trophies from various games.
But if you look a little closer, in the direct video from Phil Harrison’s GDC keynote you may notice something rather intriguing. The room is full of trophies from many games already know about for the PS3: Killzone, Resistance, flOw, etc… But in a blink and you may miss it moment the camera peers over a LocoRoco trophy.
But, could this mean the cutesy looking blobs will be coming to the PS3? It seems like quite the perfect idea. In LocoRoco you don’t portray the on screen characters, but rather the world. By hitting the L and R shoulder buttons on the PSP, you tilt the world left and right, the perfect fit for the no buttons required SIXAXIS controller.
Gamespot was there during a presentation by the LocoRoco creator when a member of the crowd asked about the possibility of LocoRoco on the PS3. Director Tsutomo Kouno had this to say:
I’m not going to betray your expectations. You can count on this.
(Thanks Gamespot.)
