Last night, in celebration of the newly released God of War 2, Sony and director Cory Barlog had a launch event where they made a few official, and unofficial (AKA whoops) announcements.
The first, we already reported on about a week ago, and that is the syndication of the God of War franchise onto Sony’s PSP. Barlog reassures us that the game won’t be just another PS2 to PSP port, and will have it’s own fully fleshed out story. Barlog on the story elements:
It is epic. It is big. There are hooks in the PSP story that I actually wrote from one of my first stories for God of War 2, so there are a lot of elements — we’re going to keep connecting all this stuff. To me, it’s a persistent world… I want the PSP version to not feel like the PSP version… it’s just as big. It’s just as epic. It’s God of War.
Another announcement he let slip, either totally serious, or jokingly was that we will one day be playing God of War 3 in 1080P on the PS3 with a vibrating SIXAXIS controller. Which isn’t really surprising, since Sony and Immersion are playing nice now.
(Thanks 1up)
