RUMOR: Metroid Prime 3 Delayed Until ‘08

The Metroid Prime series, which was originally scoffed at for turning Nintendo fanboys’ beloved adventure side scroller into a first person “adventure” has become one of Nintendo’s biggest guns in the latest console war.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was originally slated to come out alongside the Wii, but was eventually pushed back to January, and now it looks like Nintendo fans may have to wait yet another year for the first person adventure game.
Joystiq is reporting that those who pre-ordered Corruption at Best Buy were sent out e-mails saying the game would be delayed until 2008. Could this be Nintendo spacing out their big first party games because of a lack of third party support? Or are they giving the game an overhaul after the critical failure of many of the Wii’s first person shooters to date? We’ll know more as soon as 2008 gets a little bit closer…
(Thanks Joystiq.)

Gah! This better be false, I’ve been waiting and waiting for this game!
And if it is true, this game better be so fracken awesome that it gets scores of 11/10 on all the game sites!
