The demo for Rare’s fun, addictive, but underbought garden strategy game Viva Pinata is now up on Xbox Live Marketplace as a playable demo. Considering how Dead Rising, Lost Planet and Crackdown really generated positive buzz for their relatively obscure IPs, why now, a few months after release? Isn’t this letting the barn door open after the cows come home?
Poor strategy on Microsoft and Rare’s part. Anyone who has played Viva Pinata are surprised as the quality and depth of the gameplay, and is a true family game that even childless adults enjoy.
Have you given Viva Pinata a chance? What do you think of it?
(As a side note, two soccer game demos, Winning Eleven 2007 and UEFA CL 2006-2007 are also now up on Marketplace as well.)
