It’s On Now: Jack Thompson Countersues!

Last week we first heard the news concerning Take-Two taking legal action against Jack Thompson for attempting to prevent games like Bully, GTA:IV, and Manhunt 2 from hitting store shelves.

Now, in a law school fluster Thompson has counter-sued Take-Two for violating his constitutional rights by infringing Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. The specific right that Thompson believes Take-Two is violating is the First Amendment.

Mr. Thompson goes on to severely slam Rockstar in his brief to knock on Rockstar from operating in close proximity to the former site of the World Trade Center and “spewing its pop culture sewage to the world’s children” from the 9/11 site.

Hmmm, last time Jack Thompson had to deal with First Amendment rights on a large scale was during his epic battle with 2 Live Crew. Memorable quote from that era:

I have sent my opponents pictures of Batman to remind them I’m playing the role of Batman. Just like Bruce Wayne helped the police in the movie, I have had to assist the sheriff of Broward County.

-Jack Thompson
