PC Gaming Betas Galore!
A number of different online PC games that will be entering the beta phase soon made some announcements today. Among them: Guild Wars 2, LOTR Online, and the Stargate Online Trading Card Game, and GRAW2 for PC.
First up is NCSoft, who announced that one of the most successful MMOs to date: Guild Wars, will be receiving a sequel which will go into beta testing sometime in 2008. For those that don’t feel like waiting quite that long, as most hardcore Guild Wars fans probably already know, an expansion pack linking the two installments hits later this year.
Next is a beta that you’ll be able to play much sooner, in fact you’ll be playing it this month. LOTR Online, the epic MMO that hits store shelves on April 6, will be having it’s “open” beta to anyone who happened to preorder the game. And you’ll even be able to save your progress when transferring.
And now the one you’ve been waiting for: The Stargate Online Trading Card Game (insert cricket chirps here!). It’s available in beta form…now! Check it out here.
Finally, PC tactile shooter fans will be to hear that beta registration for the PC version of GRAW 2 will be starting in April. It’ll feature a PC exclusive map. For more on GRAW 2, at least the Xbox 360 version, check out our review.
