Next Week’s XBLA Title: Jetpac Refuelled

Hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace this coming Wednesday on March 28 will be the updated version of Rare’s classic arcade game: Jetpac Refuelled.

Sure, it’s not exactly one that all of us are familiar with, but the value that you will be getting for your 400 MS Points ($5 USD) is pretty amazing. In addition to the classic port of the arcade version, you will receive a completely redrawn, updated version with more than 100 more levels and Xbox Live multiplayer.

The game, for those not familiar with it, plays out very much like Joust with guns. You proceed through the multi-platform levels slaughtering aliens and collecting parts for your ship. Once your ship is complete, the level is over and you’re outta there.

    This game is a good price, but it is really repetitive after 20 levels. I don’t have the patience to do 128 levels of the same thing over and over.
