Microsoft Crashes PS3 Launch Events

Microsft’s been…rather aggressive (and creative) in the recent US and now European launches of Sony’s Playstation 3. For the stateside release they bought up huge amounts of adspace on the PS3 section over at Gamespot. And now, their unrelentless approach has stemmed across the pond over to sections of Europe.
In France, huge billboards can be seen across a canal saying “Xbox 360 Loves You,” while in both New Zealand, and the UK, gaming headquarters have been receiving free Xbox 360s with the amount of beer it would take to make up the price difference between a PS3 and 360. Attaching a sign saying:
What would you purchase for £146…? (The price difference between an Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 3)”, asks the included Xbox 360-headed notice. “Well, for a start we thought you might like £146 worth of beer to kick start your weekend early.
And finally, one of the more sneaky of the campaigns was providing camping chairs for gamers waiting in line for a PS3. On the back it says “Shouldn’t have kept you waiting,” with a URL that you just gotta see for yourself.

Microsoft sure is confident in the success of their little machine if they have to bribe people with beer
