Newcomer Wii developer Big Blue Bubble has earned attention for its entry into the Great Canadian Video Game Competition: a carpenter shop simulation called Hobby Shop, where you can create catapults, soap-box racers, bird houses, and so forth.
The game uses Nintendo’s hot new Wii game console, which uses controllers that mimic body movements.
The player uses two controllers to simulate actions such as hammering a nail or sawing a plank.
Big Blue Bubble CEO Damir Slogar said Hobby Shop is a great fit for the Wii console which tends to feature non-violent games.
“We are going for a wider audience, not just hard-core gamers. Kids will be playing with their parents,” he said.
So, how many of you shop class dropouts are ready to satisfy your inner carpenter?
