Airborne Vehicles In Next Crackdown Update?

Upon shipping Crackdown, Real Time Worlds hasn’t exactly been secretive about the future downloadable content. The game shipped with less than the standard 1000 achievement points, and RTW promised a free download to balance that out, as well as to add some new content.
One of the main areas where Crackdown did fail to live up to the “GTA clone” category was airborne vehicles. Eurogamer scored an interview with the Producer of the game, Phil Whilson, who said:
Since nothing’s announced for the forthcoming downloadable content I have to be careful what I say about it, but flying vehicles are something that we initially decided to steer well clear of. As it happens that latter concern was irrelevant because, as you can see in the finished game, the existing engine can handle immense draw distances and rapid streaming… so airborne antics is definitely not off the table going forward.
Seems pretty cool, I guess. Although I’m not so sure why we need planes when your virtual crime-busting avatar can pretty much leap most of the buildings in a single bound.

Kind of defeats the purpose of all those agility orbs, right? Most of the game was about leveling up your character enough so that you could reach new, higher rooftops. What would be the point if you could just fly up there?
*SPOILER (lite)*
For the update, I am hoping that they somehow flesh out the rest of the story. Going up against the corrupt agency and other leveled agents would be, IMO, a lot more fun than gang bosses.
