The next Burnout game is shaping up to be quite amazing. Unlike the recent Burnout Dominator on PS2, instead of taking a step backward, they’re actually progressing and adding new features to the series (You can split a car in two!).
Alex Ward of Criterion announced that both the Xbox 360’s Vision Camera and the upcoming Playstation 3 HD EyeToy will be integral, in some way, to the gameplay of Burnout 5. Ward said:
How you use the controller is key, how you play the game online, how you use the HD Eye Toy and the 360 Vision Camera online is really important.
What’s the camera going to be used for? Only time will tell. Maybe you’ll be able to see your online opponents? I’m thinking it’s something more than that if Ward is claiming it to be “really important.”

There is no HD EyeToy - it’s been scrapped. The PS3 can use other USB video devices, tho — including the Xbox Live Vision Camera.
