Blizzard Announces WoW Prequel

How... retroEveryone is getting into prequel fever for April Fool’s Day. After we broke the news on Hero Zero, Blizzard has announced Warcraft: Heroes of Azeroth (WHOA - we get it.) The game looks and plays suspiciously like Warcraft III (”View the land of Azeroth from an entirely new top-down perspective!”), with nicely low system requirements:

  • 400 MHz Pentium II or equivalent
  • 128 MB of RAM
  • 8 MB 3D video card (TNT, i810, Voodoo 3, Rage 128 equivalent or better) with DirectX® 8.1 support
  • 700 MB HD space
  • 4X CD-ROM drive

Which begs the question: where’s Warcraft IV?
