Halo 3 Beta Begins May 16

Microsoft is beginning its drive now to try to occupy the minds and thoughts of gamers everywhere. Just as the thrill of Guitar Hero II is beginning to fade, and Mass Effect and Forza 2 are released, the Halo 3 beta will launch, officially announced by Microsoft for the date of May 16th. The beta will run for 3 weeks til June 6th, as rabid gamers are pulled away kicking and screaming.
Those of you who finally stopped playing Crackdown will have a new reason to pop the game back into the 360 disc drive - Halo 3 beta codes obtained from the first batch of that game’s release require it - and those of you who played Halo 2 til your eardrums bled to earn a code will finally have a new variation to explore.
If that weren’t enough, Bungie released today a ViDoc called “Is Quisnam Protero Damno!“, which is appropriately about the Halo 3 multiplayer design and maps.
