Quake III: Team Arena Headed To Xbox 360

iD Software’s smash 1999 hit: Quake III: Team Arena looks to be heading to the Xbox 360 in some form or another, with a strong feeling that it’ll be hitting the Xbox Live Arcade. The news comes from the ESRB who recently rerated the game for it’s new-gen debut.

With the increased file size, the game should be a perfect fit for Microsoft’s downloadable service, I’m just wondering if there’s really that substantial of an audience for this type of game. We’ve already had Quake 4 released on the Xbox 360 at launch, and the mouse and keyboard fans of the game looking for some fun filled fragging nostalgia may be appalled to see their beloved game with the clumsy controls a controller often provides.

There’s no other information available at the time, but keep an eye out for this M-rated game in the future.
