EDITORIAL: Guitar Hero Song Pack Suggestions

No, this isn’t going to be an article complaining about the 500 Microsoft Points ($6.25) price point of the current new song packs available on Marketplace (though it seems to go against the early claim of being competitive with iTunes - read as: roughly $1 per song.)
Rather, this will be a suggestion box for the publisher on song packs, using the 3 songs per pack system that’s in place. There were certain qualifications to these picks. The biggest two were that they had a significant guitar presence (why play a song you only strum a few notes of?) and they had to be fairly upbeat and fun. The other qualification had to be they were also fairly cheap to acquire the rights to as well. Let us know what songs you want to play on your guitar.

Just give me some Zeppelin and Metallica and I’ll be fine…Some good suggestions in there though. It seems kind of random with the way they packed the last group together. They should try to stick to some kind of theme.

i agree most of the songs on GH2 360 are not the best songs ever but alot of them are very fun to play even tho i dont like the songs them selves the game play for them is splended
there are some good songs on your list but even the ones there that i dont like i can picture the game play and id be happy with that
lamb of god was a good addition to the game i think they should add more real metal like goat whore

Slip into the Crowd by 39 Steps is an amazing idea! I love that song, it’s the one you see them they do in Woody Allen’s Hannah and her Sisters. How about something from the MC5? How about Shakin’ Street?

I think the song “Life in the Fastlane” by: The Eagles should appear in guitar hero
November 6th, 2007 at 7:29 pm
I think Forest King by 3 Inches Of Blood should be in it.

I think they need more Meat Loaf and Charlie Daniels. Most definately Bat Out Of Hell, which is the best song ever. That would be awesome to play on Guitar Hero

A Def Leppard disc and a Queensryche disc (especially Operation Mindcrime) would be cool. Other than that, any popular 80’s metal hair band songs.
