Not only will Guitar Hero III be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 and the Wii - it will be multi-player ready! Red Octane has confirmed this “rumor” that the third spin of GH3 will have some multi-player capabilities.
We just don’t know what “capabilities” for a multi-player release will really entail. We’re guessing some type of guitar hero play off friend vs. friend. It would be neat to do a battle of the bands type tournament too, if that is at all possible (Red Octane - I know you’re reading this: Make it so number one!)
Guitar Hero defined its own genre of gaming and will now have to create a new multi-player game experience to go with it and make it good. Without multi-player gamers get upset because they want to battle PvP in this day and age, but do it wrong and the noise will be much greater…
[Perhaps the fact Rock Band will feature full online capability with multiple instruments will inspire RedOctane to make this a priority. - jonahfalcon]
