This Week’s New Releases: April 16-April 21

Leading the pack this week is….oh wait…yeah, that’s right, we’re officially in the gaming drought. Last week, Mario and the gang from the Mushroom Kingdom saved us from planning for our future, but this week, it looks like you’ll finally have some extra cash to horde away into your bank accounts.

The only real title you may find tugging at your wallet this week is Bust-A-Move Bash! for the Nintendo Wii. It’s a port of the Bust-A-Move franchise (obviously) that’ll let you use the Wii-mote in two different ways. First is an arcade-stick style control where you hold the remote vertically and turn it left or right to change the direction you’re shooting at, or you can go the route of the classic point and click interface.

Other notable games include Pocket Pool for the PSP. Previously stripped of the Girls Gone Wild license, the game will let you play pool against a variety of virtual vixens to unlock images and videos of scantily clad women. If you’re way too obsessed with the NY Times’ crossword puzzle section to wait until the next day, the Nintendo DS has NY Times Crosswords coming out, which will let you…well, do crossword puzzles. And finally, the award to most Engrish game title this week goes to: Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift 2!
