CVG is reporting that there will be not one but two titles being released for Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday, April 18. One will be 3D Ultra Minigolf, a mini-golf simulator, which would be the first sports title on XBLA since the launch title Bankshot Billiards. The other will be the arcade classic Gyruss, which is, for those who don’t know, a circular version of Galaxian, which itself was a variation of Space Invaders.
This could be a sign of increasing content coming from publishers for XBLA, as well as possibly a way to limit the complaining whenever an arcade title comes out. (Honestly, when something like Asteroids is released alone on a Wednesday, you can hear the whining even before the game hits the Marketplace.) PS. These games are sold seperately.
On a side note, it seems that Catan has a May, 2007 release date.
[UPDATE: It's official. The full press release can by found at GamerScore Blog.]

Hmmm, don’t know about Gyruss, but even though I’m pretty sure it’s going to be bad, I might pick up the mini golf game.

I’m glad they are not limiting it to one game, but $5 for Gyruss is a joke.
