Are You Cool Enough For Halo 3 Beta?

You may have a few folks on your Xbox 360 friends list whom have “Halo 3 Beta” as their last played (or currently played) game. You’re now brewing inside asking yourself “why can’t I play the beta!!” while dropping to your knees, hands outstretched, screaming in your living room.
Fear not young warrior, you’re not uncool–you’re just not a Microsoft employee. They’re not hiding anything on you, they’re just getting down the internal testing before bringing it public. You should thank these individual contributors because they’re probably suffering through the bad parts of the pre-beta.
The term beta in our industry is synonymous with “unstable” and you probably will find testing Halo 3, at this point, more of a job than for fun (which is why Microsoft’s employees are being paid to do it). If they’re doing their job correctly you’ll have a wonderful open beta experience.
If they’re slacking, you’ll find yourself doing their job for free in the upcoming weeks…
