PlayStation 3 Loses another Franchise? Final Fantasy XIII!?

Another death blow to Sony? They’ve apparently lost their exclusives to the Final Fantasy XIII title. Yes, they’re still launching the title on the PlayStation 3, no worries, but it won’t just be a Sony product anymore.
What consoles? “Other consoles” according to Motomu Toriyama of Square Enix. We can take a small guess and assume the “other consoles” is really “other console” and contains three numeric numbers: 3 6 0.
The heavy hitting RPG that has a global audience expands its crowd in order to take command of their own destiny. Why limit yourself to the small PS3 audience when you can grab a bit of that 360 demographic? We’re living in times where owning both consoles may require an equity loan to pull off, not to mention the spur of the moment Nintendo Wii purchase.
Is this a good more for Square Enix? I think so.

I think the Nintendo DS is a very possible platform for it as well.

You guys do realize that the Fabula Nova Crytallis project and Final Fantasy XIII are different entities, right? The quote was for the FNC project which already spans the PS3 and mobile phones. Seeing another iteration or chapter on the PSP, DS, or a short film does not in any way spell the main game going multiplatform. Please don’t spin the news to draw fire.

Good for Square. The 360 may be a failure in Japan, but it’s a success everywhere else. Heck the Genesis proved that success in the US can be enough to be competitive.
A little piece of me would would love to see them shoe-horn FF XIII on the Wii
