Discs of TRON to XBLA?

The arcade surround-cabinet Silicon Era is reporting that along with the previously announced news that along with the original Prince of Persia, the arcade classic Discs of Tron will be heading to Xbox Live Arcade as well.

Those of you who don’t know, Discs of Tron is basically a variation of Pong, sort of, in which you hurl discs at your opponent (the villain Sark from the 1982 film), and try to knock him off his platform. The twist is that you can aim the disc at angles and riccochet the disc off the walls as he tries to avoid you. As the game progresses, you gain the ability to aim at a vertical angle, and barriers, first static, then moving, appear, and more enemies appear.

This was one of my favorite arcade games ever, especially since I played in the surround-cabinet you see to the right. I don’t know how well it’ll hold up, or if it’ll get a graphic upgrade, but I probably will plunk down 400 Microsoft Points for it.
