That first person shooting cash cow Call of Duty will be sucking the money out of people’s pockets once again, but this time it finally leaves the tired setting of World War II and brings it to the modern age, according to CVG, with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Players, according to the rumour, will operate as part of the S.A.S., US Marines and the US Army, with the action occurring in such locations as the Middle-East, the streets of Eastern Europe, aboard sea vessels in the North Atlantic and London.
Hopefully, this time the game will be longer than 4 hours to complete, with better multiplayer modes. The game will be featured in a commercial during the NFL draft on ESPN at 1pm EDT/10am PDT. No platforms officially announced yet, but you can bet it’ll be on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

I’m not sure who completes CoD3 in a 4-hour time frame. I know it took me a few weeks to do, maybe not for a high school kid with a lot of time.
As a parent of two, a few weeks is good for me. I guess if I played it on easy it would be a few hours mowing through folks.
I like playing veteran after I beat it on the level below veteran. Although I never completed CoD3 on veteran because the Nintendo Wii came out and I got dragged into Wii Sports.
When I went back to play veteran I got frustrated (lost the skillz while go and cannot just pickup in the last 20% of the game and keep going).
I really wish they went to the WWII Pacific timeframe rather than modern. Or WWI bi-plane dog fighting - that would be cool.
Modern warfare is nice, but I’m a history buff… don’t really care about modern stuff. If I want modern I go Counter-Strike, Battlefield or even Graw for a bit of the future.
Oh well. It’s a good changeup non-the-less (how much more could we do European WWII campaigns?)

This is actually a rip off of Modern Warfare by a staff of modders that did Medal of Honor and Call of Duty. Leave it to activision to rip off innocent kids and their intellectual ideas.
