RUMOR: Metal Gear 4 Slips Into ‘08

The Metal Gear Solid series has always been ambitious. And with the way the console war is going, Sony needs Metal Gear now, more than ever. This holiday season looks to be highly competitive with releases such as Halo 3, GTA IV, and Super Mario Galaxy. Now it’s looking like Sony’s ace in their deck of cards is unsurprisingly slipping into 2008, rather than the promised 2007 release.
Gamestop/EB Games has issued out newsletters to those who’ve already laid down their pre-orders for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as well as updated their website with a new release date of March 1, 2008 — quite a few months away from the previously listed date of September 1, 2007. Take it with a grain of salt though, and keep in mind that this is Gamestop’s website, which tends to use placeholder dates.

Woah, now that’s a blow to the PS3 if true. not what they need right now after losing a bunch of “exclusives”.
