Major Nelson informs us that a demo for the upcoming JRPG Trusty Bell (or Eternal Sonata for the U.S.) is now on the Xbox Live Marketplace — exclusive to Japan…kinda.
Provided you are intelligent enough to create a fake account, any average Joe can fake a few text boxes and have free reign over all the downloadable content their hearts desire. Creating a Japanese account isn’t exactly too hard, and popularized for several U.S. gamers when a Rainbow Six: Vegas demo was distributed everywhere but the States.
The latest Spring Dashboard Update supposedly blocked said feature, but as of now, you can still download the demo from within the United States, or theoretically elsewhere. My guess: The update only set restrictions on the US-exclusive Video Marketplace.
