Nintendo America held a media summit yesterday, in which President Reggie Fils-Aime went through a number of sales figures, further showing the Nintendo DS and Wii’s dominance in the gaming community, and among other things also confirmed several 2007 releases.
Reggie confirmed that, alongside Metroid Prime 3 Corruption’s summer release, by the end of the year, we’ll be getting the rest of the big Nintendo games on every fanboy’s radar: Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii, and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS.
Best lineup ever? Things couldn’t look much better for the fans eagerly awaiting software for their Wiis, and alongside several other top-notch titles for other consoles (Halo 3, GTAIV, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Uncharted, Ratchet), it’s looking like the best gaming year ever.

I think 2008 will really be the year Nintendo shines. We have to wait 6 months into this year before 2 remotely heavy hitting games comes out. . .and we don’t even have internet play yet. 2008 will rock!
