Haze Goes PS3 Exclusive — For Now

Last year’s E3 unveiled a new FPS, Haze, that many immediately looked over because…well, it’s just another first person shooter. The Ubisoft title was originally shown off as a multiplatform title, spanning across the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, but now the game looks to be Sony’s direct competitor to Halo 3 this fall.
Haze has reportedly underwent a deal with Sony to keep the game PS3 exclusive, and out of the competition’s hands. Describing the PS3 only as the “lead platform” doesn’t necessarily mean that the game will stay exclusive to Sony’s console, however.
All signs are pointing to a timed stint on the PS3 as the route that Haze will follow. A Ubisoft representative stated:
Haze is leading on PS3, but no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced.
Halo killer? From what we’ve seen so far of the game: not necessarily. However, buzz around the internet is that the game has an interesting hook, soon to be revealed.
