Prepare To Joust On The Playstation Network Tomorrow

Set to release on the Playstation Network tomorrow is the original arcade hit: Joust. The feature set includes online multiplayer…and that’s it. No redone graphics, and a rather half-assed background to boot.
Joust, for the uninitiated, is your standard quarter-muncher where you don the role of a knight mounted on his trusty ostrich, in which you must defeat other knights and collect eggs. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the game. I got the chance to replay it on Xbox Live Arcade via a free code sent my way, and never touched it again.
If you’ve somehow managed to never play Joust in your life you can pick it up for $4.99 on the PS3’s store — which means (since there’s no taxes) you’ll always have that extra penny just sitting there in your PS3’s wallet
Mind boggling screenshot after the break.

Never said it didn’t. And that still doesn’t make it any better.

My point is: If you’re going to offer a retro title, you better give it some pizzazz. :p
