IGN Gets First Hands-On With Guitar Hero III, First Gameplay Footage

IGN managed to pick up the exclusive preview of Activision’s upcoming Guitar Hero III, with a hands-on preview of the next iteration’s axe model: the Gibson Les Paul.
A fan favorite among guitarist, and what many would consider the go-to guitar (alongside the Fender Stratocaster) the Les Paul has been played by just about every fretboard legend such as: Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, David Gilmour, and Kirk Hammet — yeah, you get the idea.
Some of the key features and reactions that the preview unveils include:
- Definitely wireless
- Works with GHII
- Start/Select buttons similar to PS2 version’s “round knobs”
- Neck is removable for storage
- Removable/customizable faceplates
- Two places to attach the strap
