Go to BlizzCon, Get Beta Key for “Upcoming Blizzard Game”

Blizzard’s upcoming Blizzcon convention, held at the Anaheim Convention Center this summer is likely to be one of the biggest gaming events of the year (sorry, new E3). While many may marvel upon the convention’s World of Warcraft cosplaying and, well anything with WoW in its name, the real star of the show looks to be Starcraft II.

Upon its announcement in Korea, it’s hard to browse a gaming website without somehow stumbling upon the hype of the sequel to the 1997 Game of the Year. The sad truth of it is we won’t be getting our grubby little hands on a boxed version anytime soon. A small twinkle of hope has emerged though, in the form of Blizzard’s announcement of the free swag given out to attendees:

All BlizzCon attendees will receive their share of free Blizzard swag, to be announced in a future update. We’ll also be providing a beta key for an upcoming Blizzard game.

For many, I’m sure, it will be worth the $100 admission price, but when is the trend of paying to be beta testers going to end?
