ESRB Reveals Sonic 2 is Coming to XBLA

The ESRB managed to jump the gun on the press release yet again today, this time unveiling the secret that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be making it’s way onto the Xbox Live Arcade.
Xbox360Fanboy notes that Sonic 2 will join the list of upcoming Sega titles that are scheduled to make an appearance on Microsoft’s downloadable service, but when are they coming? Streets of Rage 2, Ecco the Dolphin, and even the first Sonic have been announced, but since then we haven’t even heard a peep of a release date.
After all, the original Sonic the Hedgehog title was announced at E3 2006 — over a year ago, and still we’re getting junk like 3D Minigolf Adventures instead of what people really want (probably just me).
