This past weekend in New York Nintendo held an event called Nintendo’s Father’s Day Challenge at the Nintendo World store. The event held had father/son teams teaming up to weigh their brains in celebration of Nintendo’s newest Wii release, Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree in a brain-iacal competition of wits, will, and wii-telligence. Yes, I’m on a spree of making up words.
The event had the teams playing the new game in a variety of skill-based mini-games to rack your brain, and the victors of the event were the Virginia-reppin’ Rick and Michael Singer. The dynamic duo scored themselves not only a copy of the game, but a Nintendo Wii console.
“I asked my son to come to New York with me for Father’s Day, but he said he’d only come if we could go to the Nintendo World store,” said Rick Singer. “We entered the Father’s Day Challenge to have fun, and had no expectations of winning. This was certainly a memorable experience.”
Sounds like a greedy kid to me, but hot damn if it didn’t pay off. It only took a 350 mile, 6 hour drive to get it, but hey, who’s complaining?
