Nintendo Gives Manhunt 2 a Taste of its own Medicine

Looking forward to Rockstar’s Manhunt 2 are you? Well, you sick puppy, it looks like you might be having a bit of trouble ramming pens in to the eyes of the ufriendlies or strangling them with the piano wire, since Nintendo has forbidden the playback for the game, as well as denied it licensing. Sony is on the same boat as well, since the game earned itself a curious AO rating.
It seems that Nintendo doesn’t like having garnered an AO rating on a game compatable for their “Family Friendly” console. It’s strange though, since there’s no such thing as bad publicity, one wonders if Rockstar was gunning for it. Whether or not that’s true, Nintendo had to know that this was a potential risk, so allowing the game (the sequel to an already controversial game) to be released on their motion-based console seems like a dumb move in the first place if they had any kind of idea that they’d refuse it.
It’s a whacky situation, but Take-Two might be in a ton of trouble if they can’t cut the rating down to an M.
Take-Two can watch their monies fly out the window as they sob, and patiently await for the GTA IV to rake in millions.
(Thanks, Nintendo Wii Fanboy.)
