Bourne Conspiracy Announced, Rumored E3 Lineup Gains Validity

Sierra Entertainment and High Moon Studios have announced The Bourne Conspiracy, a game spin-off based on the popular book series by Robert Ludlum, and even more popular movie series starring Matt Damon, will be coming out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

While details are currently being held for the upcoming E3, the game is looking to be more along the lines of a stealthy, action-adventure game hybrid, serving as a prequel to The Bourne Identity.

While until we here any more solid details on the game it will remain in the “just another licensed game” category, it’s the announcement itself that peaks my interest. A few weeks ago we ran a story on a rumored E3 list for Microsoft’s presence at the event, which many of you guys disputed as “a ton of total bullshit,” but one of the items dealt with a game set in The Bourne Identity series.

Granted, the leaked list claimed it was funded solely by Microsoft (which it isn’t), but the fact that a leak got out a few weeks prior to this official announcement makes the rumored E3 list seem a little more feasible.

(Thanks, Joystiq.)
