That’s not 100% true, I have heard reports that publishers wanted to post dlc for free but were pressured by Microsoft to charge for it. I think the publishing companies agreements with Microsoft doesn’t give them as much freedom with pricing as we think.

$10 for 5 maps doesn’t hold a candle to the Guitar Hero II complete and utter rip off scam!

Also, my friends that were able to download the maps said they were experiencing lag issues in game and very very extremely annoyingly long load times with the new maps. My bet is this is why they pulled the maps.

Microsoft does not determine the point costs of downloads, the developer does. So Ubisoft is to blame for the 800 point pricetag, not MS. I just want my maps…

No way in hell they pulled it because of price complaints. If they did that just once, the bitching would just increase the next time and you’d see more and more people waiting on new releases to see if quick price drops can be forced.

Microsoft are getting to greedy for my liking and its about time us gamers stood up and refused to keep paying for all this extra download content that should be free in the first place.

These games are going to end up costing £100 a shot and its time to do something about it.
