Rumor: Sony Europe Announces Fall Release Schedule for PS3

PS3 Bringing tears to the eyes of both PS3 fans and haters, Kotaku is reporting that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe sent an official fall release schedule to press outlets in Spain. We’re listing this as a rumor right now because the original site doesn’t appear to include the actual press release. Here is the blockbuster listing for PlayStation 3 (PS3) games:

Singstar Next Gen: 8/22
Warhawk: 8/29
Heavenly Sword: 9/12
Lair: 9/26
Folklore: 10/10
Eye of Judgment: 10/24
Ratchet & Clank: 11/7
Time Crisis 4 & GunCon 3: 11/18
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: 11/21
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune: 11/28

This lineup appears to be just first party, so the list should not be considered the only PS3 offerings for the fall. Also, obviously, there is still no word on US release dates, but as the Europeans will tell you, they’re usually the ones left waiting. So, it’s reasonable to assume the US schedule will be slightly ahead of Europe.

Regardless, if this lineup is accurate, it’s clear that we’re finally going to see what the real next gen war is like, as many of Sony’s most anticipated games finally reach gamers.
