UK Repair Service Revokes Ring of Death Support

Boo, the Ring of DeathXboxic sadly reports that British company Micromart (NE) Ltd., who have been “providing a comprehensive repair service to Games Consoles for over 10 years”, are currently showing a notice on their corporate homepage stating that they will no longer repair Xbox 360’s with the Ring of Death:

Micromart has now withdrawn from offering a Repair Service for the dreaded 3 Red Lights fault. This problem is endemic on the XBox 360 console and the volume has made this repair non-viable. Other repairs to the XBox 360 are still being supported.

The Brits will have to do what their American cousins do: contact Microsoft for the coffin and ship it out for replacement/repair. Makes sense, since basically when those 3 red lights appear, it’s time for replacement, not repair.

When you get too much of something like that is easier to just ship it off, that’s what you’re going to do anyway, right?

Why fix something with such big problems when Microsoft should be.

I bet you could make a mint by “modding” xbox 360’s to run super cold with awesome heat sinks and liquid cooling…hmm… my idea first!
