Forza 2 on Murderous Streak

It’s the dilemma numerous gamers have faced since the launch of the Xbox 360: the red-ring of death. The console seems so fragile that even the smallest things are turning your $400 into one of the most expensive bricks.

Download a game demo? Dead. Get the latest, required firmware update? 1-800-4MY-XBOX, sir. Play a new game? Syonora, old friend.

Sure, it could just be an extremely vocal community, but with every firmware update or game, it seems somebody’s 360 magically turns up the three red lights.

This case is no different, in that users on the Forza Motorsport 2 forums are complaining that the game randomly decides to lockup during loading screens, races, and even marathon painting sessions, and upon rebooting their console, are greeted with the ring of death.

This, of course is the first time we’ve heard anything of the matter, and personally, I’ve yet to experience any kind of problem, or hitch while playing the game. Another thing that’s kind of strange is that Xbox360.QJ.net reported on it, but the specific thread seems to have been deleted, leading us only to a “Forum not found” message.

All good for me. Great game. Maybe the best I’ve played on the Xbox 360 to be honest.

Isn’t saying “COMMENTS ARE MODERATED” above the comment box another way of saying,
“WE DELETE THREADS AND POSTS WE DON’T LIKE?
    just like microsoft?”

  3. Derrick Schommer Says:

    Yes. Exactly.
