Switchball Coming To Xbox Live Arcade [UPDATE 1]

Bowling for marblesBored of Marble Blast Ultra? Well, there’s a new ball coming to town: Switchball. I know Head Stooge Derrick Schommer’s ears just pricked up on this one, since this game’s been floating around unreleased for a while. This is a nifty little puzzle game by Atomic Elbow that won the 2005 Swedish Game Awards as CrazyBall, then was a runner-up in the 2006 Independent Games Festival. It uses a new physics engine AGEIA (well, new in terms of game development) as the basis for gameplay, allowing you to “morph” your ball’s features into stuff like metal ball, wooden ball, etc, etc.

It was finally released a few days ago for Windows, so you can play it now.

(Thanks, Xbox 360 Fanboy via Xbox Archiv (Germany).)

[UPDATE: The rating at the USK has been pulled, so someone may have requested anonymity for the release, or it's simply not happening. Still, the game IS available now for PC, so go ahead and try it out anyway.]
