USA Today leaked the first screenshot of what is apparently in-game for Sony’s ridiculously hyped Killzone 2, which still may or may not get a subitle when unveiled at E3 tomorrow morning. The game recieved a ton of flack in 2005 when it was unveiled with a trailer showcasing previously unknown visuals, a clear display of what Sony intended for the PS3, however, it was regarded as phony footage.

Stay tuned, kids. It’s going to be a bangin’ week, and we’ll be all over the place trying to cover it. We’ll soon see if this screenshot (which is indeed very nice) is representative of what we see at E3.
Thanks Joystiq (High Res Image Here)

Pretty bad textures there on the wall.

The shadow is pixelated too if you look at the hi-res version.
This definitely makes you understand why companies are so obsessive about controlling the release of information. Now Sony has to deal with this criticism for another day and a half when they should be building excitement for whatever Killzone stuff they have planned for E3.

I’ll be the black sheep here — that looks pretty damn good to me! Sure, the environments aren’t that great, but if that’s what we can expect out of gameplay footage I’ll take it.

I think this is meant to just be a display of lighting… I think it looks great, you’re not alone Devin.
