Mario Kart Wii Official, Online, Free Wheel

Reggie and teh Wii'l Nintendo’s Press Conference went fairly smooth today, and of all the things announced the one thing that caught the most attention was Mario Kart Wii. Reggie Fils-Amie announced it during his spiel regarding online play, and confirmed that you’ll be karting online with real people in the first quarter of 2008. Packaged with the Mario Kart software will be a new wheel, seen in the image above (props to Nintendo Wii Fanboy for the great screen capture)

Reggie also mentioned that “…more racers means more fun.” but failed to disclose the amount of online racers at one time. He hinted at it being acknowledged towards the end of the conference, but nothing came about. Sorry kids. Keep in touch with us though, we’ll have it soon.
