First details of Halo 3’s co-operative campaign were leaked months ago once gamers started peeking around the code of the Halo 3 Beta. Now one Microsoft exec. accidentally confirmed these rumors of four player co-op in a recent interview with Xbox.com.
One of Halo 2’s most enjoyable aspects involved the ability to play two player co-operative play either on split-screen, and now Bungie looks to be doubling your fun with support for up to four players. Speaking to Major Nelson, Vice President of Global Marketing for Microsoft Jeff Bell issued the following statement:
Why I became such a Halo fanboy in the first place was the co-operative play. My 18-year-old and I, we played together, and rather than playing against each other, we had to learn to play as a team, and to have some strategy and be able to engage that game….etc…Now, I’m really looking forward to playing with my three sons, all together on Halo 3.
Whoopsie!
