Speculation first started once a LocoRoco trophy showed up in the video for PlayStation Home, and now a new chapter in the LocoRoco series is set to unfold in the Japanese-named PlayStation network title, Buu Buu Cocoreccho! by LocoRoco.
IGN dug up the details, though they seem about as clear on what is trying to be accomplished as Peter Jackson was when explaining his “Halo project.”:
It’s LocoRoco, but it’s not — a peculiar extra chapter…Even if you don’t play it [as in control the game], the world and the LocoRoco will play [as in both playing amongst themselves and as in playing back like a video] on their own.
Huh? Perhaps it’s the translation, but this could be referring to the control mechanic present in the PSP version: Rather than controlling the on-screen character, you reached the end of the level by controlling the world and tilting it left and right — and SIXAXIS support is mentioned, which seems like the perfect fit for the series.
