1Up has reported a rumor that Microsoft’s spokesman Peter Moore might take a job with EA Sports:
Earlier today, 1UP started hearing from a number of sources that suggested Microsoft executive Peter Moore would be leaving the Xbox 360 company to head up EA Sports.
So far, Microsoft has denied such reports. “We have no announcements at this time,” said a company spokesperson.
We’ll be keeping tabs on this throughout the day — even though this is supposed to be a day off. Thank, Peter!
It wouldn’t be the first time a high-visibility Microsoft exec went for greener pastures - Xbox Live head honcho Greg Canessa left to become a VP at PopCap Games (basically going from client to provider.)
We’ll keep an eye on this one.
(Thanks, 1Up.)
UPDATE: Major Nelson has confirmed that Peter Moore will become the new president of EA’s sports division.
